Evelyn Akello (Dr) is an experienced Public Health and Social Development professional with extensive experience of over 20 years in leadership and management of health programs. She is the Manager Programs at the Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Support (METS) Program of Makerere University School of Public Health. In this role, she provides oversight over the technical teams of the METS Program that as an above site mechanism provides technical support to the Uganda Ministry of Health to establish coordinated and effective national and district systems for management of strategic information for the HIV response as well as monitoring and evaluation.

Evelyn holds a PhD in Program Management, a Master of Science in Health Services Management and a Bachelor of Art degree, Social Sciences.
