In support of health systems strengthening, Rose has facilitated strategic planning workshops at National and District levels to guide the development of five year evidence based Strategic Plans for the HIV/AIDS program. She has also designed and conducted numerous evaluation studies aimed at informing the design of programs/projects as well as establishing progress and performance against set objectives.

]]>Wanyenze has long and varied clinical and public health experience in tropical diseases research, with emphasis on tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.[4] She has worked at the Makerere University School of Public Health, since 2008. She has managed the postgraduate fellowship program at the School of Public Health, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Global Fund, among others. She has also carried out original research in the areas of maternal and child health.

Godfrey holds a MBchB, MPH, and a Certificate in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery.
]]>Prior to joining the Program, Alice was a Project Coordinator at Makerere School of Public Health, for the Covid Multi country project. Until 2020, she held the position of Public Health Specialist, HIV Treatment Team Lead, at CDC Uganda. Previously, she worked with Uganda Ministry of Health and Makerere University Medical School as a Senior Consultant Physician and Honorary Lecturer.
Alice is a member of the Association of Physicians of Uganda (APU), the Uganda Gastroenterology Society, Deputy Chair of the UVRI Research and Ethics Committee and was one of the founder members of the Uganda National Health Consumers Organization (UNHCO), where she served on the BOD for several years and is a member of the Uganda Virus Research Institute – Research and Ethics Committee (UVRI-REC).
Dr. Alice Namale holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Makerere University, a Masters in Internal Medicine (MUK) and Masters in Public Health from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK.
